I was thinking "bookkeeper," but you are right that the verb tense also fits the description.

Well done. Jerk.

The Elders of Zion require all political parties to swear fealty and subserviance to Our might, so the HLM-kissing is not a surprise. They know that, at any moment, We can destroy the international banking system and resume drinking the blood of Christian babies, so it behooves them to stay on Our good side.

I was just going to call Antoine and wake him up to announce that you have succeeded where many have failed: you spelled "bellwether" correctly. But in the context of "ONE of the bellwether components of The Daily Dose ARE the popular Capsule Book Reviews" (my emphasis) I figured I'd let him sleep.

Let me know if you come out. I'll see if I can arrange for some snow for you to shovel again.
